Seugnet (pronounced “Sue-nay”) is a corporate and commercial attorney, conveyancer, and notary public with over 15 years of experience spanning property transactions, public-sector advisory, and commercial contracting. Her career bridges the disciplines of conveyancing, procurement, and project advisory, giving her a unique understanding of how business and government intersect in high-value, multi-stakeholder environments.
After completing her B.Comm (LLB) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005, Seugnet completed her articles in a specialist conveyancing practice, where she developed a foundation in property transfers, notarial work, and real estate compliance. She was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2008 and as a Notary Public in 2009.
Following her early conveyancing practice, Seugnet joined a national firm in 2009 where she transitioned into transaction advisory—a move that set the tone for the next decade of her career. During this time, she advised on public-private partnerships (PPPs), infrastructure projects, and high-value public-sector transactions, gaining deep insight into the frameworks governing supply chain management, public procurement, and contract management. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, advising organs of state, and developing policy and procedural frameworks aligned with statutory requirements.
Seugnet’s ability to navigate both public and private-sector regulatory systems has become a hallmark of her practice. Her understanding of how legislative frameworks translate into operational delivery allows her to offer pragmatic and risk-aligned solutions.
As a practising Conveyancer, Seugnet continues to guide high-value property deals, bringing clarity and assurance to complex cross-sector transactions that involve both commercial entities and government stakeholders. Her clients trust her for her precision, discretion, and steady counsel in environments where detail and timing matter most.
Seugnet’s practice combines the technical depth of a specialist with the commercial intuition of an advisor who understands that good law should enable progress. A mother of two, she balances her professional commitments with an active lifestyle — and finds her best ideas on a morning run.
