Jarrod Robèrt (pronounced “Ro-bear”) is a data privacy and commercial law specialist who helps organisations navigate the legal and operational demands of an increasingly digital business environment. He advises on privacy compliance, technology contracting, and risk management, guiding clients in building frameworks that are not only legally sound but commercially strategic.

His work spans data protection governance, POPIA and GDPR compliance, and the negotiation of technology and data-sharing agreements. Jarrod assists clients in embedding practical privacy processes, mitigating data-related risk, and achieving compliance maturity while maintaining business agility. His dual grounding in commercial law and regulatory compliance allows him to deliver solutions that integrate policy, contract, and operational alignment.

Drawing on his background in civil and commercial litigation, Jarrod brings a rare litigation-trained precision to his advisory work. He has represented clients in complex trials and dispute proceedings, developing litigation strategies that protect interests and preserve business relationships. This courtroom experience informs his approach to drafting and negotiation—anticipating risks before they escalate and ensuring every agreement can withstand legal and commercial scrutiny.

Jarrod’s practice bridges the gap between traditional legal frameworks and emerging digital realities. Whether designing data-governance programmes, negotiating bespoke commercial contracts, or resolving disputes, he applies the same strategic discipline and clarity of purpose that define his work in high-stakes environments.

Outside of law, Jarrod brings equal intensity to the things he loves most—football and golf. A devoted Liverpool supporter and aspiring golfer, he approaches both with the same competitive spirit, focus, and humour that make him a trusted colleague and advisor.
